Planemaker's little "Frans-Kalle"!!

Hi guys. Decided to start this little kit, just for a change. In the mean time I wait for my replacement decals for my Draken build.
But that's another story...
It's Czech Master Resin's Fokker C.X (Finnish version). It's quite a bad kit, although it's resin.
Btw. it's my first full resin kit I build.

The Fokker C.X is a Dutch aircraft that was licence-built by the finns. The "Frans-Kalle" as it was called by the finns, was used here in Finland from
the beginning of the Winter War in 1939 to the middle 1950's. My plan is to build a finnish C.X from the Winter War period.

Here is the kit and some progress I've done:

-The kit has a mega amount of flash, as I would expect, vac-form canopy and bad decals etc. etc...






Cockpit work started.

Cockpit painted and weathered, ready for assembly. (I added own seatbelts).
Note the air bubbles in the resin, really annoying!








Finished engine.


Fuselage halves glued together.






Engine attatched to the cowling.

Another beauty coming together Sebastian.

I've been thinking to get this kit myself but haven't got the guts yet. I recon it's the best Frans-Kalle kit out there (???). Being a full resin kit it scares the hell out of me.

The cockpit looks very good! How's the fit? Small air bubbles are fine as long as they stay inside the fuselage...

Really looking forward to this one!

Well, talking about the bubbles, they are not only inside the fuselage but everywhere! As far as I've built this kit I learned that the fit is quite bad...
Otherwise it looks like an Ok kit. And not to talk about the poor mouling and all the flash.
I know there is a short-run AZ-Models Frans-Kalle, but don't know anything about the quality of it. Might be better...
