What putty to get?

I'm on the hunt for some thicker putty, already got the Vallejo Plastic Putty which is great for small gaps but an utter pain for big ones.

These are the putty's I have to choose from, I'm after something that's easy to work with, doesn't shrink heaps and can be worked with after about 24h.

Changed my mind and I'll order from anywhere I can, BNA really doesn't have a very good selection of puttys (plus I've already placed my order through them).

Atm I'm trying to decide between Perfect Plastic Putty or Squadron Green, which one would you guys recommend to go with the Vallejo?

On a side note, I thought the link you gave for BNA was actually an extensive selection. In my location/country the only option you have is tamiya putty and tamiya 2-part putty.

I think you should check the 2 part putty from tamiya.

try this, price varies greatly.I buy mine from back2base a warhammer site in Australia. keep it in fridge to extend life

Cool, I'll have a look.

Thinking I may get the Perfect Plastic Putty for most small to medium gaps and maybe get something else like an epoxy for the big gaps or where I need to rebuild a broken part.

CA glue, doesnt shrink and dries rock hard

Haha I actually bought some of the thin and medium Zap CA glue with the last lot of stuff I got.

May try that on my current model and see how it goes.

Edit, any specific way I should do the CA glue?

Ca glue is a lot harder to sand.
plastic putty is really nice stuff, large gaps it will shrink a little, but just give it a another smear. Very easy to work with, a damp brush will remove excess or a light sand when dry. The tube can dry out in this climate after about a year however just put about 2ml of tap water in the tube with top back on a little massage and all is well again.

Add a little talc or baking powder to the glue and it'll make it dry quicker and easier to sand. Its not that difficult to sand anyway though

Its not really all that harder to sand, anyway id rather spend a little time extra sanding than chasing seam lines that wont go.
