1/48 Eduards Danger Zone

Post by Ivan1199 »

Hello everyone.

After seeing some great builds on here I have decided to share my work on Eduards reboxing of HobbyBoss F-14A. I will be adding scratch building as well as PE and brassin by Eduards. This is my first time posting on a forum so bare with me.

I have started off by sanding off the raised detail and adding boxes and wiring to the cockpit tub as well as the side panels. Not very accurate but I think it works for me.

Mark... No I didn't since I think in my opinion it looks pretty good with what it comes and I'll try to scratch build a few more. Call it test subject for now.

So I have started painting the tub and a bit of hand brushing some details on it. What it looks like so far.

I see
Totally understandable as there is a lot in the box already
I did that just to see where my limits are with resin and pe
I like what you did with the extra added details ...maybe i will steal that idea
Keep up the good work

I agree there is a lot that comes with it but so far it looks pretty good although that could change later on in the build. For now it's still early on so we shall see what happens.

Well I got around to painting the front wheel bay and hand painting a few things. Cockpit is coming along good and add some PE for the control panels. Next up will be the front dash and ready for closing up everything.

Well I finally got to work on this a bit this weekend and finally got a few bits of the cockpit put on this weekend. The rest will come whenim ready to start painting since I don't want them to fall off or lost during the process. This is what I have done for now.

Next up will be the intakes and that should be all for it to be ready to close up and start major building.

Cheers!

I love all the scratch building for the detail. I'll happily steal your ideas haha. What kit is this F-14 based on? Tamiya, Academy, Hasegawa??

Looking awesome btw.

The Danger zone is just the Hobby boss kit but with some upgrade parts
I have it in the stash and got the other eduard upgrades and a metal Vulcan gun for it
I think you can do the same with the Hasegawa kit so in the end they should both make for a very detailed build
It depends more on what you are willing to spend and how mych time you want to put into it

Well if GWH did a F-14 kit I'd say that would be best kit out there. Their F-15 kit is superb. I hope they do more.
