Tamiya T34/76 ChTZ Version, 1/35

This one has been on and off the bench since the summer of 2014....still not done but getting close. The plan is to add a commander to the T34 and build a small diorama base for the tank and the figures that came with the kit.

The T34 is basically done. Typical Tamiya build, the lower hull needed some holes plugged, along with the sponsons filled with plastic sheet. Just a few extra details like scratch-built driver periscopes and stretched sprue antenna were also added. The tracks are Maquette individual links.








The diorama base is made from celluclay, with some real dirt and road gravel sprinkled on for the roadway, then given a diluted black acrylic basecoat. That's where she sits for now.
