It took some time but I'm finally done, using surfaces I added cast textures to the metal parts, the rigging didn't work well because glue broken and the tension was lost but overall I was happy with the painting and woodgrain

Great job. I know how tricky these beasties are. Can't you re rig it with EZ line or the like? I use the Ulli van Roschen stuff and it's a doddle (well, fairly doddly) to use for rigging, I just superglue it on.

Not too bad looking build. Rigging will always be difficult at that scale. I have a number of WnW kits that will need it and this video I found to be very helpful, showing the use of EZ-Line (but the Uschi repackaged product). It is Uschi, himself.

Overall you did a very nice job. As far as the rigging goes EZ line works well. I actually used nylon thread when I built the WNW Rumpler. You can't use styrene glue with the rigging because it will just melt and lose its tension. So if you use super glue, you can hold the tension until the glue sets. EZ line is great because its elastic. Also, zip kicker helps set the CA quickly. I think you could probably remove what you've done here tighten up those lines. Hope this helps. I know rigging is a pain. It's the reason it took me so long to build a biplane.

Yes, I've done exactly that, I removed the current rigging and ordered some ez line, I will post pictures when I have finished it

Good job Joe - I have problems getting the rigging to stick - even with superglue (Crazyglue?) Plus my hands are not as steady as they used to be.....You have my sympathy but stick with it mate - It will come to you.

Cheers, the rigging wire arrived yesterday day and I rigged a 1/48 eindecker, it isn't perfect but I was quite happy I will post a picture of it soon as well as the new improved albatross
