Chiefs Revell Resistance X-wing box scale.

Post by chief5437 »

Just got this today (with another 'classic' X-wing) looked like fun! :th:

Image

No sprues! 18 parts. Pre painted.

Image

Nice clear, colour instructions.

Image

All done! In about five minutes, lol!

Image

Image

Couldn't resist having a fly round the man cave, playing the sounds, lol!!

Image

I don't know what kind of monster movies I've got on the TV by the way! :nena:

Now down to business! Broken down again. Let's have some fun. Artistic licence will be in full effect from now on, and let's face it, the films not out yet so I can do what the hell I like, lol!

Image

That's all for now, see you soon! :thumb2: :thumb2:

Hey fellas, :th:

Bit of work done on this. I started by masking the canopy, easy job. Then I removed the lower half of the cockpit, so that I could chop out the seat (which is level with the side consoles?!) and lower it so I can fit a pilot in.

Image

You can see the lowered seat in this pic, sort of. in one of the first pics I posted, I thought the droid seemed to sit a bit too high as well. You can see it more in this pic.

Image

So I cut him out, and added a few lugs to make him sit a bit lower in the fuselage.

Image

A bit better, to my eye anyway!

Image

Picked out some details in the cockpit. It looks 10x better IRL, I promise!

Image

I drilled out the jet exhausts, as the kit parts were really thick.

Image

And added some fictional detail to the engines, just for fun!

Image

Just three epm's on each wing to sort out.

Image

I also filled in the speaker, battery compartment and nose u/c bay.

Image

That's it for now, thanks for looking guys! :cheers2: :th:

Nice little "kit", good to see you are gonna hack it apart and fix it up
I can just hear you making the "pew pew" noises as you fly :pistols:
That scary guy is on my computer screen sometimes too.....he is good background noise but has a fairly long runtime
