I primed it carefully with a brush. Now Crumb is ready to receive a dark yellow coat.

Panzer Crumb progress
Airbrush session: Dukelgelb, sand yellow (lights) Schokobraun (shadows)
Time to use the the brush and work carefully with details and more lights and shadows... Later on I'll add filters and washes...
A panzer comander would look cool on his back

YIKES!

We left it here. I primed crumb with black primer

Image

I airbrushed some grey on upper surfaces

Image

Lower surfaces were airbrushed with schokobrown

Image

Thinned dark yellow layers were carefully applied

Image

Lights and shadows were added

Image

I darkened his beak and nails with a brush

Image

I painted his mouth with pinkish tones

Image

Image

I added Vallejo still water on his eyes and mouth

Image

I lightened his skin with fleshy drybrush strokes

Image

Fur was painted and everything was sealed with a coat of matt varnish

Image

Finally I added a general brown filter + a brown pin wash

Image

Crumb is almost ready...
