Jedi Starfighter

Post by DBMiller »

I know, I know -- a second build in one SiG! What is wrong with me? Well, I don't get home from work until about 6pm and often don't want to work on anything complex after dinner. So, while waiting for a day to work on my Star Destroyer base I decided to build this kit just for a quickie!

The instructions and parts:

Three sets of panels for different craft!

Starting the building and priming!

Lots of clamping to get the cockpit walls to open out enough to glue into the hull!

A little dry brushing and wash!

Since I hated this movie I don't feel I have to have the wings/solar panels (shades of the future Tie-fighter!) movable. The are super glued shut, so there. Also, as you can see by the paint selection, I will not be using a standard Star Wars paint scheme. Can you guess what it will be?

You'll just have to wait until the next update!

So, since so many alternate paint schemes are WW2 German I thought I'd try something different. I've been wanting to use the Vietnam War K4 paints I bought and this was what I came up with. These paints went down beautifully!

You are hilarious, but that is a good way to keep the juices flowing..more than one thing at a time lets you have breaks from each project...if you have the time
