weathering tips panzer grey wanted

Does anyone got some tips about weathering panzer grey vehicles?
Dare to ask...

Paint modulation, using darker shade of the panzer grey base colour in and around crevices and the lower half of the tank, and lighter shade to highlight high spots.

Use filters and oil fading to blend the colours togther then use Various pigments to vary the tonal colours.

Although a tritone Camo scheme I've used the above techiniques on my king tiger build

Not yet, but I'm hoping someone has! I'll be doing my funky panzer in gray. I'm thinking of pre shading in black for shadows and white for highlights. But that's as far as I've got. I tend to just add things as I go, and keep my fingers crossed. A plan? I don't even have a P! Lol

So far ive managed to only buy one ak product (the chipping fluid), i really want to get more but i know what im like and ill end up buying everything they make and i A) don't have the room to store it all B) Itll cost a fortune lol

just get shares in their Stocks !!! LOL

if you have their MiG line of Filters and Washes... its basically the same stuff ! it smells exactly the same!!!
if not exactly the same stuff? its very close.

The AKi paint modulation SETS or Paint Effects are their line ups offerings... but packaged up ! so.. be careful of what you buy... cuz you will end up with doubles and triples like I did ! maybe not so much with Paint modulation sets but EFFECTS its a given... which is why I sent a few "examples"... to friends... so they could try it !

The magic with AKi effects... is the Plaster of Paris... Way way better than the Acrylic Medium paste from MiG !!! which turns into Hard Goop ! (mud effect ) hard to flake off after its harden. !! the AKi stuff flakes off just like real Mud until you fix it with Pigment fixer its Awesome and I have been SOLD since Day one !

but don't buy everything !!!

I use MiG oil paints... for fading and Filter effects... (dot painting) just like you do !
nothing beats Aki streaking effects thou ! you should buy their DVD's on how to use their line up and
You won't go back ! LOL

Yeah norm I have one of the ak DVDs, and i guessed with mig being involved it,would be the same stuff as the mig stuff.
