Lee's GWH 1/144 Victor B.2

GWH kindly sent me this kit to review about a year ago and because of life I didn't get around to building it, but I am back! So, I'm taking a punt at it now.

I forgot to take sprue shots, but here's the review of it I did when I first received it (I've lost weight since then!)....

Anyway, made a start last night and got the fuselage together...


The cockpit is extremely basic, but I don't think you're going to see much of it through the canopy at the end. It's had some paint and a dry brush, which I think will pass...



Canopy all masked up. Bit tricky as it's 1/144th, but was quite a relaxing session with some wine and jazz playing in the background

Wing clampage...


Bomb bay doors on and more clampage...



Started sanding the fuselage then remembered that I hadn't put the weight in the nose that is quite clearly marked in the instructions! DOH! So, had to drill a hole in the underside of the fuselage to get some liquid gravity in there...






Got the liquid gravity in, but the hole was too small to get the CA in so, had to improvise. Luckily the wing roots are receded so, managed to chop out a hole big enough for the CA to go in...





All good and ready to go now. Moving on to the wings.....

Got a ton done on the hangout tonight. The Victor is all together now after much sanding and swearing. All ready for paint....

Can I ask - the liquid gravity...is it good enough on it's own for nosewheel aircraft? Also -- what was the CA for (I presume CA is the glue - like kids modelling glue used in schools and such - PA?)

I've had issues in the past with nosewheel aircraft and never found a solution. Some people put weight in, but I don't know anything about the technique - so anything you or anyone can help with would be smashing.
