Hello from Scotland

Hi Guys,

Terry here aka "TheSmoo", I have been following a few of the emodel online youtube builds and currently watching Pauls 1/6 yammy crosser build which led me to this site, also follwing Tony's 1/12 yammy M1-09 build.

about me - in my late 40's, used to build a lot of models in my youth, had a break of about 25 years and have came back to it in the past six months or so, I have build all the usual planes, boats, ships, tanks etc but at the moment I'm concentrating on the 1/12th Tamiya bike range and I'm building up quite a stash to build.

Lots of new products and hints and tips since I last built and will be getting an airbrush in the new year so watching all the airbrush stuff with great interest, I'm on around my 8th 1/12 Tamiya bike build having completed about 4 and have a wee production line going of another 4 at the moment, I tend to take pictures of my builds in various stages but havent yet moved up to videos.

I tend to hand brush all my stuff at the moment using Tamiya paints and use the TS spray cans for the bodywork, hoping to change some of that when i get my airbrush, anyways just saying hello, I'll be scouring for help with decal application (my bugbear at the moment), airbrushing tips and any other wee tips I can pick up from you professionals, my emodels wishlist grows every day after seeing little reccomendations from you guys of products I never thought of using that would solve a lot of wee issues I have been having.

ha ha, well i ride my motorbike all year round, not so much in the snow but I have been on crisp early morning runs where the roads look not too bad and then on the way back its both feet down and snails pace riding in the snow, I find it funny how our whole infrastructure comes to a halt when a few mm of snow falls, I used to take my old mark 4 ford cortina out in the heavy snow with a couple of paving slabs in the boot for traction, was great fun.
