I'm going to have a crack at this little kit, should make for a different type of build. If I get time I might even throw in a diorama....lol

I have the royal class 1/72nd scale mig 15 from eduard.

Just a question to Lee orPpaul, is it authorised, as there are 4 models in this royal class, to do one for the "from Russia with love" and another one for the shiny thing GB?

Well for this gb i have something that is the big brother of my very first i ever made
And that was a Revell 1:72 MiG-29 wich i have build about 20 years ago
Back then i didn't even paint them so i will try to do a bit better this time
And i will try to do that with this

The Eduard rebox of the Academy MiG-29 UB
I have some goodies but not that much as most like cockpit parts are in the kit
I do have some weighted wheels and a metal pitot tube for it
And i think i will paint it in the Russian colors as that has a shark mouth on the nose wich looks cool
So it will be a plane for me wich is a bit weird as i usually build armor but i highly doubt that i will be able to finish a 1:16 T34/85 in the allowed amount of time we have for a GB and that is about the only Russian kit i have when it comes to armor
All my Russian kits are plane so i guess it will be a year of wingy things for me

I wanted to build something from either Imperial Russia (which is pretty much just the navy or a field gun) or the Russian Federation, settled on Mengs tiger Infantry Mobility Vehicle

It's really difficult to pick something - I'm torn between the Su-27 and the KV-2

But I'm in the mood for some armour so it will be this kit:

Can't go much more Russian than that - Kliment Voroshilov and Zvezda

I will have three kits and three different builds or two because one could be a good entry for another GB , or at least will try ...

A diorama using this Tamiya kits , the JS-2 is an special edition with Aber PE parts ...also will add some accessories :

then planes , I bought this little kit because it was a model that I want to build for some time , and what better opportunity that a Russian GB to do it

Then this one ...having also the Shinny thing GB

, This could be a good entry , but could also be a great entry in this :A Profipack and the Big Sin for it with all the goodies ( Resin parts , engine , wheels ) should do a nice diorama !

Great entries around here guys , eager to start building in January

I like the theme of this GB. I'll build a diorama with a KV-1 model 1942 tank and figures from Trumpeter and one of resin. The paints will be from MIG Soviet camouflages set

Right I have finally decided what I am going to enter in my first ever group build

Havent done a tank is 30 years and havent done any kind of weathering at all apart from dry brushing so this should be a fairy easy kit with the usual buld quality of Tamiya I hope.

This is me being a bit more adventureous as I will have 4 months to complete both builds and the kit looks lovely

As for me I kinda wanna make a start on my Berlin street fight IS-2 dio idea but I've already built some of the bits and pieces (a BMW motorbike and artillery piece to be knocked out/buried in rubble) and that'll probably take too long anyways so it's good that I've got 3 other options.

I have dio/vignette/base/whatever ideas for all (I like dios as it turns out) but I kinda feel like that 152mm gun is calling to me, plus the box is packed full of stuff to play with. Who knows, maybe I'll even have time for two

I'm just starting to get Russian birds(?) Pat, now the Flanker is the better looking but I've seen that Foxhound kit being made up elsewhere and its seems a beautiful box of plastic

The AMK MIG-31 is now "Due early Jan 2016" from Hannants så this will be my build!

Now...depending on when "early Jan" is, I might try to quickly build this while waiting:

(Seeing LudvigN´s build earlier here in ISM it seems a straight forward build and not many parts, should be doable in a vacation week

)

Kind of changed my mind for my build
in fact i want to try to make 2 builds but i will be replacing the MiG-29UB i had in mind
Now i will be going for these kits

i still blame Paul for this kit
i was new around here and found a thread of the review he made for this kit
Then in a moment of complete loss of impuls control (that was my part) i ordered it as it was on sale for a nice price

And the other will be a X-mas gift

it looka pretty nice but i must admit that the moment i saw Zvezda on the sprues i had some doubts
but i started it already and it is not that bad up to this point only 1 gap and 2 minor lines that need sanding
but more of that i the buildthread once i post that (soon)

But the La-5 is rather small so.that should't take me too long to build

Good thing that i decided to read the rules again before i started
the SU-27UB i had in mind won't be good
the plane ut self is good and there are Russian decals but i wanted to make it into a non Russian or Soviet version
so i guess the MiG goes right back to the bench

Been working on a Heller 1/400 Scharnhorst and am really enjoying it, makes a nice change from planes for a bit.

And the GB gives me the perfect excuse to get stuck into this one

it is the base kit for the Eduard kit i build for this gb
it is good but there are some areas that need attention
like the ssides and the top part of the fuselage in front of the cockpit
other then that a nice kit

i think the hinges of the gun covers are in the middle of the part

Well I am a month late but, I've been out bought some batteries for my camera, and would you believe it I can't find the lead that goes from the camera to my laptop so have now got to get a card reader.

Never the less, I've made the decision, bitten the bullet and decided to take the plunge and join in with this group build if you're willing to put up with me that is ?

So in a nutshell I've decided to join in with the Trumpeter T-62 mod. 1960 from a moment in time when the soviet union was at its strongest.
I will provide photo's as soon as possible, do I need to include a photo of a national newspaper to prove that it's not a completed model and that I'm cheating, which I most definitely am not. I look forward to seeing all of your contributions and hearing all the stories that accompany them.

No you do a box and sprue shots, that will be your first set of photos. Have a look at the 'builds in progress' thread to see how it's done.
