1/48 AH-64D with ground crew

Post by InvalidUsername »

My first model in many many years, my first group build, first helicopter, lots of first time experiences!

Putting myself in the deep end first up was a challenging experience, the airfix quad bikes was a great little build, the apache kit was more challenging, mainly with fitting issues. Using PE and scratch building a few parts was time consuming and I thought time would surely beat me.

So here it is, an AH-64D italeri kit, that I have converted to a british WAH-64/AH-1 Apache, placed in a desert scene with british quad bikes as ground support. The base is pretty basic, sand from a local beach placed on a base :) I'll add a wrap around background to it later on.

Thanks to all those who followed the build, Merry Christmas!

If that's your first build in years then congrats! Looks pretty damn good to me.
Regards, Dave.
