Hi guys,

Here's my entry for the F-16 SiG.
It's a F-16A from academy in 1/72 scale.









Sir Lee said: "Hansolo doesn't do normal". So, I gotta honor his remark.
I'm going to portrait an F-16 that has crashed and is weathering away in the fields.

Here are some inspirational images.









I started of with the fuselage.



Then the trashing up of the parts could start.
I take a part...



And trash it.



A part.



Trashed.

I wanted to make the fuselage broken, so I cut it in two.







There was no interior in the kit, so I had to gather some stuff to let something happen in the gap.



It's gonna be a little dio. Just a bit larger than the plane.























That's it for now folks.

you could have saved your self some cuttung though
There was a crash landing with a Dutch F-16 just a few km from my house in the town of Geffen
he belly landed in the fresh mud and the pilot just walked away without any injury
the farmer then picked him up from the field and told him to shower first as he was covered in mud and manure (smelled bad i think)
then he was brought back to base but the plane was there for a few days untill they could retrieve it

but your build is looking great so far so i will be following it from now on
keep up the good work

Hi guys,

I started work on the dio.
Plywood. A cardboard edge to mask the sides when adding the DAS klay.



The clay.



Clay applied. Made crash tracks.



Painting. First black.



Painted the different shades of grey and put on the decals.













That's it for now, folks.
Next up: weathering!

I was reading through your thread and thinking, Holy crow this will be a hell of a thing to try and paint!, then you painted it and I can see that it may be easier than I though... But only slightly.

Hi guys,

Finished the dio and the paint and weather jobs!

On top of the DAS clay layer I put a layer of earth/white glue/water mixture.



Airbrushed it in a sand color.



Put patches of static grass on.



Added tiny bushes of moss.



And added a little tree. Made from root and some spongy green stuff.

I sprayed a layer of buff color and some green here and there for dust, weathering and algae.









I finished of with a wash, some oil paint rendering and pigments for decolorations.
