Weathering Navy planes

Post by GuyMac »

Lots of modern navy planes are weathered by salt water.
How can this effect be obtained on a navy plane?
(and also ships ->Building a Tamiya USS Enterprise 1/350 later when I get the (weathering)techniques at a decent level)

If this has been covered earlier in a topic then I'm sorry for wasting forum space.

While working at NARF (Naval Air Rework Facility, now called NADEP) the only chipping I saw was around panels frequently opened. For the most part the sun faded the paint bad. fluid leaks, oil stains, hydraulic leaks etc...
