I've also had this problem for some time. Only thing I do is click on libery when it freezes, and usually the pictures are uploaded anyway. I think it's Photobucket pausing the progress bar and waiting for the ad to come on. Anytime the ad comes on for me the progress bar goes to 100% when it doesn't it only goes to like 85 or 90% and stops but the pictures are still uploaded.

It takes me longer to upload and share pics on here than it does to build a kit......and it takes me forever to build a kit !!! Lol
What a pain it is !!

Are there any other alternatives that do the same thing? Main thing being automatically resizing for the forum?

Here is what photobucket had to say when I emailed them to find out what the hell was up...

Hello,
A few days ago photobucket was offline for a few hours to perform maintenance. Before that I had almost no trouble using my account from my PC, IPad, or my ITouch - uploading photos, managing the content, or editing images.
Ever since the maintenance period I can't upload more than one or two images at a time, and most of the time the upload fails.
I can't delete any images from previous uploads, however, this morning I was able to delete a few but it took 2 hours for them to delete them. A message telling me to hang on this will take a while hangs on the screen and nothing appears to be happening.
All of the pages open and close very slowly now as well, it never did this before either.
This never happened before the maintenance period. I've changed no settings, added no new devices nor altered my account. I'm all paid up and I still have 27% of my storage left unused.
This issue exists on all of the machines that I use so it is not limited to one particular machine.

I'm currently using Windows 10 with Google Chrome as the browser (version 47.0.2526.111m) I also use Safari on my Ipad and Itouch (both are running the most up to date version of the OS)
I have a fibreOp connection with just under 200Mbps download and 55Mbps upload.
The files that I am trying to upload are simple ,JPG that I've uploaded almost 17000 of already using the same devices to create the images that I've always used. (an Itouch)
I would really appreciate any assistance with fixing this as I have considerable time and effort invested in my account and I wish to continue using it.
In it's current state it is unusable.
Thank you for your help.

What I thought was a very detailed account of what I was experiencing, I expected a very helpful reply... silly me.

This is what they replied with... most helpful...

I replied by copying and pasting my original email and adding...

Ps... Robert was useless and wasted my time.

Then they replied with something that resembled and answer... vague... but better than Robert.

She was right... it worked... for a little while .. then went all wonky again.
I wrote her back and she said...

Hi,

Thank you for your continued patience while we work through the issues that many users are experiencing. The issue is complex and a full resolution is still in the works. You should be able to successfully upload content now, albeit with slower upload speed than usual. You may also need to refresh the page after upload to see the content. Thanks for your patience!

I posted pics a few days ago in a thread and when photobucket wouldn't work i just uploaded to imgur. It's not as much of a gallery type thing but if you just need stuff up it works. I've been using photobucket since 2004 and honestly it's garbage even when it is working. It used to be much more streamlined and had no ads, but due to heavy exploitation by certain types online it eventually had to get quite convoluted. It's current form is built on making money from ads and preventing back door image scanning. It needs to be usurped.

I've given up on it, I'm spending more time getting pictures up and onto the forum than I am modelling, it's getting daft. When it finally decides to work there are multiple copies of the same photo. Try and delete them and you get 'Hang on, this may take a while'. Utter garbage.
Regards, Dave.

I have near tens of thousands of photos hosted on it, and a tonne of them are embedded here.
In fact every photo that I have ever posted here is hosted on photobucket.
So I have no choice but to stick with them. If they go down then all of my work here on the forum goes with it.

Imageshack is an alternative I think, however whenever I knew people who used that, they often ended up using PB, so I assume Imageshack is rubbish.

I was having all the aforementioned issues this evening. A stuck message when deleting multiple uploaded images, and uploads stuck at 90% or failing.

I've noticed, on many forums, images shared from Photobucket aren't displaying. I hope all those links aren't permanently broken... :wtf:

Photobucket servers are experiencing outages and are undergoing emergency maintenance. Our system is starting to come back online. You may still see intermittent maintenance. We do not have an ETA on when full resolution will happen. We will keep you updated as soon as more information becomes available. We truly apologize for any inconvenience, and thank you for your patience!

That's so true! I've got the best updates in history to upload, which means I'll win ALL the group builds, but now I'll be a loser. And it's all photobucket 's fault, lol! :violin:

Mine is all tickity boo too!
It's funny... The forum was really quiet while photo bucket was down... Hardly any posts in the down time.
The unread posts for me only showed five or ten active threads all day.
Now there a four pages.
Goes to show you how important photo bucket is I guess.
Eggs in one basket comes to mind... I wonder if there is another image hosting site that is as good, better, or close enough?
I have over 16000 pics hosted on photo bucket and most of those are embedded here. If it goes down or if something happens to my account then that is a lot of work that will go poof.
I'm sure that I'm not alone.

You could always just upload them via an ftp client to a web server you rent. I think my .com when I had it was $40-50 a year through godaddy with space and hosting.

I had one of those for storing my digital books and research photos a year or so ago, but Google drive was much easier to use and so I switched to that.
The thing was full of jargon and techno babble an I soon got bored of translating all that crap. I've never heard of my.com
I was thinking something that was as easy to use as photo bucket or google drive.

I wasn't expecting that.
