Tamiya Su-122 1/35

Better late than never, time for my first GB.

I just went for the first kit i found online to make it a chalenge for my self and get off old habbits.

Got this Tamiya Su-122 in the mail today and i am thrilled to start the build an keep posting the process.

Starting with some whats in the box pictures. (the rotation did not go as planed)

The build has begun..


I did not like the mesh..

but after cuting it out and replacing it i got a new problen...

So i wipt out some brakeline that i had an some carboard and made a hit of a engin bay.




it was a bit big...

Good choice of kit
I like your solution with the tubing in the engine compartment.
If I replace the mesh and there's no engine under it to show, I normally make a small box out of black cardboard and glue it under the mesh, creating a dark engine compartment so you can't see whats in it. But your solution is something I will try in the future. Keep it up!

Thanks, there is some room for imprument, but thats what is it all about, make misstakes and learn from every buid.

Thanks guys, your to kind.

Started building the base, Cut a block of hidenety foam and put on plaster, than added maskings for the tracks and put on a layer om fine plaster and removed the mask. just leting it dry and than the fun can start.
