Honda CB 750F Tamiya

Post by Skillamac »

Hi folks, new around here, never built a bike model up before so thought I'd challenge myself. Got a few bits I'm working on currently and want to do a bit of research before starting this kit. Looking forward to giving it a go

i'm interested to see what youb use to re-chrome the chrome parts paint wise and how it turns out, i build bikes all the time, it's a very basic tamiya bike kit so you should have no major issues apart from the chrome replication

Bit more progress on the build tonight, gotta fill the join lines tomorrow and spent tonight sanding ejector pin marks from the back of the brake discs. As far as re chroming the Shiney parts, I'm not sure yet what I'm going to use. Still pretty new to using the airbrush so will probably stick with Tamiya acrylics and then use a high gloss top coat...or I'm considering doing a weathered up version so non factory fresh... Still doing bits and pieces on other projects in between so plenty of time to think about it.

good for you, i'm actually doing a build video series on my build, i build bikes all the time, the build videos will be linked up on my build thread, i'm aiming it at a range of people, from someone who has never built a model before to people who do make models but haven't built a bike before, I do tend to waffle on a bit but my 1st build video is up and i'm about to film the second part, some might be useful to you later on, the first one covers removing chrome (which you have already done) tools and paints required and how I plan my builds, aimed more at the novice and i can waffle at parts and it's about an hour long but the build ones after that may be useful to you

regards
