Engine air intake and u/c hmmm, we'll see how this turns out..



Plumbers solder for nose weight (leaded of course), I hope there is enough as they is quite a bit of styrene behind the nose..

Just a quick one while Photobucket is up and running.



Fuel tanks, bombs and missiles painted and weathered, might be too much on the tanks tbh...we'll see.

How you doing?

After a prime in Stynylrez black (you'll have to take me word for it), I'll start the main colours, all Mr Hooby Aquaous. I'm still persevering with "no pre-shading" thing which is really effective if done properly
First up a close up....



Zoom out...



After all that squiggling, they should be smaller squiggles really, I'll stick on a top cote. Gently does it as you don't want lose that variation in tone. This is what I've ended up with..



Moving topsides. Same proceedure but I've gone with the same colour underneath (Aquaous H306) just add more tone variation and then squiggle with the top colour (Aquaous H305)..



I've also sprayed up a couple of panels just for hell out it..

Like I say when it's done right is really effective

Homer, it didn't really take that long the more time you can spend on it the better outcome you'll get....obviously, but no longer than standard pre-shading

Yeah do it Dave, what I should've done as well was to add some light brown/mid stone just to add more variation

A bit of a leap forward here.
We're all decaled up, they actually behaved very well, it was me who didn't!
Here we are decals and clear coted

I've tried to repair with some stretched sprue, it won't last long...

Cheers Homer but alas it's no good, the strut can't hold the weight of the nose. I suppose this is where metal landing gear comes into its own.

The nose wheel is rubbish Todd, it's collapsed already I'll need to make one out of metal wire instead...
