More parts doesn't make the upgrade set better. Your best bet is to Google search for reviews of the products. Some upgrade sets suffer from Emperors New Clothes syndrome and don't really enhance the kit in the way you want. The reviews are out there, its just a case of searching them out.

Best of luck. There are worse ways to spend your time!
Its been tried and tested, it works! So don't blame the system if you're no good.

I bought the Eduard "good evening Vietnam " set which is the academy kit with various bits one of which is the cockpit set. Although I haven't built it yet the set looks stunning there is a review of the "good morning Vietnam " kit on YouTube which contains the upgrade set as well so you can take a look. Hope you enjoy

Aires , Blackbox, Verlinden, I have used and had some good results. I thought the Good Morning Vietnam came with the upgraded cockpit. If you can manage it, try to get the seamless intakes, really makes a difference.
