hi!

Post by Always48 »

Well being as it rude not to introduce myself, im Alan, reside in suffolk, but orginate partly form london and Yorkshire. which means a spades a spade and im stubborn about that lol.

i used to model when i was a kid upto around the age of sixteen. i kept afew of them in a box that once i had my own gaff quickly slammed them in the loft. many moons later i found them slowly disintegrating and promptly gave them to my kids to play with as you do. however the seed was sown as i flew them in secret around the bedrooms

so for about a year now i have been collecting and building model planes but in 48th scale with the intention of creating my own little airfield one day to put them on (once i get a house big enough) ive learnt so much to this hobby from you guys on these forums and from the youtube channels. you guys have given me inspirational ideas as well as improving my techniques. mind you im still a beginer inmy mind.

but im at a stage now where i want to get more involved hobby wise, taking part in GB etc so here i am !
ive just finished my f100d and programmed a few chips to flash beacons and nav lights in accordance of youtube clips of the real things and got the engine to light up and flicker as it goes from yellow to blueish orange i afterburner.

next im working on a f104 but ive lost some mojo on it, ive installed all the leds on the wings and sides but yet to program the flip flop of the two lights at the rea of the fuselage. i think its one of them planes i love and hate..

well thats me rambling so hi again
