That's so weird. I was looking at this exact same kit earlier today. Good reviews and quite a challenge. Also found one in 1/35 which is FEKKIN HUGE!!!!!

Oh and it costs £500!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In 2009 Soar Art Workshop produced a 1:35 version. Not sure about original starting price, but I thought around 450 quid. However there were 2 versions, one being a premium edition.

The box is 1.83m (6ft) long and weighs 26kg......!!! We had to ship them via special courier whenever we sold one.....

That is a monster. I must have been thinking of something else. I think the box on my Nimitz is 1.4 m, I am 1.85 so ya a real monster.

I want the 1/72 one so bad. However, in Jan and Feb I've had 3 birthdays to shell out for, all 3 utilities have just billed me, car service, oh and I've chipped a tooth so that's £50 quid for the sadist (oops, I mean dentist).

YES you would have build a substantial base then acquire a special display case AND a large sedative for the wife

Well my Dora turned up this week, the Hobbyboss titchy version, what have I done...only over a metre in length and 210mm wide...1700 parts.
Erm, why did I buy this again!!!...oh yes, because apparently this hobby of ours is all about patience, and skill.....see you all in 2018....maybe!!!

If you buy threw there Facebook page you get it a little cheaper as they remove the eBay fee.
So with the Dora I think you could have saved nearly £10.
