Poor quality kit - or just me? Help!

Hi

Returned to modelling after an absence of decades, so consider myself very much a newbie. My first kit after returning was a Tamiya, great kit, with great instructions an the build was great. For my second I purchased an Airfix 1:48 Sea Harrier FRS.1. After fitting the wings I noticed the front edge of the wing seems to protrude past the detailing on the body by a very noticeable 3mm. There is only one way to fit the wings so I am pretty certain I haven't done anything wrong. I certainly don't mind having to use filler on the odd gap but this seems way off. Any thoughts?

Hi Dylan, looking at pics of Shars on google it seems that your wing is correct.
