My Hobby website? what is that?

Post by coladito1 »

I read a couple of comments on the "Show us your stash" topic, I was curious about it. What is it? is it a stash organizer kinda website? any info will be appreciate it. :)

That's pretty much exactly what it is Luis.
It helps you keep track of all the crap in your stash so you don't order things that you already have.
You can also set up a wish list that will give you price comparisons between the bigger vendors. When a price changes with one of the vendors, you get an email about it.
It also keeps you up to date with the latest kit releases.
There's a forum attached to it as well, I haven't explored that.
There are a bunch of us using it now.
I've saved a couple of bucks already using it.

Great site but im holding off till they get some other genres on there such as bikes, cars etc but looks to be the most promising site of its kind.
Stand aside caffine, this is a job for alcohol.

I think that you both might be right.
It's still new and growing.
I've made several submissions to the owner about kits and topics and he always answers quickly and with consideration.

Lee it talking to the owner about making a connection between the forum and the site. That would be cool.

The site seems to cover most stuff Webby. Cars, bikes & trucks are listed under 'Autos' and there are also sections for dioramas and figures. If your kits aren't listed to can go to the section 'Suggest a Kit' fill in the details of your kit and submit it. Depending on when you do this the guy usually will add it to the database in an hour or so. OFC with yourself being in a weird time zone :) it might take a little longer since the guy has to sleep sometimes I guess  He has been very quick so far with stuff I have suggested and has then added more kits in that line afterwards. (I am thinking of the Hasagawa Eggplanes in particular here)

Looks like a great little website. I've just signed up even though i've only got 3 kits in my stash at the minute so not much organizing needed yet :)

It's the wish list that's really helpful. Plug a couple of kits that you've got your eye on in one and it will price compair them and tell ya when the prices change.
