Canopy glue

Post by JudgeDredd »

Hi all

Just wondering what glue you use for canopies?

I've got Humbrol Clearfix and I've never liked it. When applying (with whatever - cotton bud, cocktail stick, normal brush) it leaves "strings" as you apply and pull away. I've literally almost screwed up putting the canopy on my Sea Harrier.

I have Tamiya Extra Thin and normal Tamiya cement and the cement is similar.

So any ideas would be appreciated.

Thank you

I picked up some UV set glue to see how it works for canopy. I haven't tried it yet but I will let you know how it goes when i do

I use Model Master clear parts cement and window maker glue. Absolutely love it. Does not haze, dries super clear.
