Hello all!
Thought I'd spare you the life story so just a quick intro. I'm a fifty something lapsed modeller living in rural Wales, I haven't built a kit in over 30yrs!I was re-activated when next door offered me a partly built kit and some tools. I had a ball and Santa brought LOTS of goodies, so now I'm hooked again
I have spent (too) many hours watching YouTube vids trying to catch up with modern techniques (weathering, pre-shading etc). I must give a HUGE thank you to Chris & Alex (ChriAndAlexModelling), Frankie Day and many others.

The "I stopped modelling "x" decades, but I'm back now because a second childhood will be cheaper than a full-blown mid-life crisis. That and the wife won't let me buy a sports car..." introduction covers about 90% of the membership.

Anyway, this is a great place to find out about products and techniques you hadn't even heard of back when you had hair.

Thanks for the welcome gents I look forward to getting my first modell finished (most likely the 109) as the Beaufighter is on hold awaiting some stuff from Japan. The sub & Hurricane I'm not sure about, they were gifts and I have never built a sub & the hurricane (I'm told) has major fit issues. As for the Arado, well, I just like getting it out of the box and drooling over it!

The missus thinks having a sports car would be cheaper than modelling and I still have a full head of hair
