F-4 Phantom

Post by Reccepuke »

Hi guys, My first visit. I have a thing about building RF-4 Phantoms because I flew them for a long time. I am interested in action shots like take off & landing. Has anyone ever done a deployed drag chute for the F-4? Or shown a lit afterburner?

Not personally, but I have seen pics of them on the net. I would think the afterburner would be done with LEDs. As for the drag chute, I'm thinking some kind of wet tissue moulded over a 'negative' made of putty? That's my first thoughts anyway, maybe if you google it, there might be an explanation. Good luck with it though!

yes, wet tissue is also great for making canvas draped over jeeps, tanks, etc. but to answer, I have never seen a chute deployed. would be interesting to see.
