1:29 Syrup Tank Railroad Car

Hi, I am a Garden Railroader and thanks to this site, videos, techniques, products and amazing builds posted here I was able to produce this. It is a Burl Rice 1:29 17,595 gallon corn syrup tank car kit.

Gorgeous tanker, sir. My dad was an HO modeller, so I grew up with this stuff and it's great to see one here. Toss that beauty into a consist and run her!

great tanker looks like the real thing, matter of fact they all look fantastic.
Can I ask about the track. Is there any problem running the railroad, what I mean to ask is does the weather cause any issue with the electrical circuits. It all being out side an all.

I'm no expert, but I think if there's no control box hooked up, there's no current so it's just some rails. And it's SoCal, so it rains like every fifth Wednesday. I'm sure Tommym can answer better, but until he does, garden railroading is a Thing and it's pretty cool: http://grw.trains.com/

My main controller is a Bridgewerks 15 amp Which is stored indoors and brought out when running track power. Just plug in 2 wires and plug in the power cord and you are good to go. Most of my engines run off of dc track power. So long as the track is clean the trains run fine. Being in So Cal, weather effecting the trains is not a problem. the trains don't mind the little rain we get and can run in it. I personally don't like to stand out in the rain so I don't run them then. I also have some remote controlled battery operated trains which can run at the same time with the track power trains with no issues. Rails are all clamped together for better conductivity. Been running outdoors now for over 13 years. Switches are air controled.

It was the track connectivity I wondered about. I have seen product for cleaning rails so it caused me to wonder.
