Trumpeter 1/48 Sukhoi Su-9

It's time to call this done, I had plans to do a small base for it, but lost a bit of interest in it. The kit is pretty nice but the cockpit is missing some details and is a bit smaller then it should be. I was a bit stupid and bought a resin seat that was way too big to fit the too small cockpit. So I scratch build the cockpit to fit around the seat. Finished it in a mix of Alclad, AK Xtreme metal and Vallejo Metal color and then painted all the markings so I could chip them.

Excellent finish, particularly like the chipped markings

Wow I love the NMF! I'm just so impressed with the results you got on that metal finish - very nice!

Great work mate, glad you got it finished. i think it looks awesome and great nmf. I grew to love mine in the end especially after the same cockpit dramas. :cheers2:
