i have started a in between project:

Painting guide and list of needed colours. Time to test Valejo colours.

Time to stick together some plastic. All parts fits nicely. The kit includes a nice detailed interior.


More glue, more parts, and some paint.


The side panels have some not so nice sinkholes and lots of extractor marks but they will never seen if you glue the upper hull.


Engine bay with light weathering.


Driver seat.


Turret with gunners seat.

Hi, I saw this kit on Zoukei mura stand at Telford last year and sort of dismissed it as a comic book kit, maybe I shouldn't of so readily dismissed it!! Really on par to their aeroplane kits, I shall follow this build with interest, and a more open mind

Small update with more paint, some mistakes and my way to correct it.

Everything fitting alright?

Yes all parts fits nicely. There was only a very small gap between the top and one side of the turret. I fixed it with a little drop of "Mr. Dissolved Putty". Using more clamps or hold some parts longer in place is what i have learned here.

First a little overview: my current workplace


And now ...
The ugly mistake and some more paint.
I dicided to glue the sideskirts in place before i start to mask the camouflage pattern. So i can mask and paint the complete hull in one part. Some parts get some white on it. After that my awful mistake starts to happen. My intention was to darken some aereas lightly to break the even color of the interior. The "Dark dirt" wash was to dark and dryed out to quickly. I used a cotton bud to fade out the wash more
but the result was .... I removed some of the base color and and with the cotton bud you will never reach in small corners. It was a little bit disencouraged at this time.






Only the seat looks like intended.


If you made a mistake, lay the ugly parts aside, make a small break and "Happy Wheels"


The second Tank "Shamrock" is quite simply to build. No iterior, a small number of parts, a "knight in shining armor" after my little error.






After some days to calm down, here is my way to correct the failed wash.
I mixed the base color with a drop of light brown to change the shade of the color. I made the mix thin and spead it over the model like a wash. The chipping has to be redone. The result: not so bad for now.
