T34 Ammo Paint

Good Morning. I need a bit of help with the painting of the ammunition. The instructions colours are copper casings and the head pale blue which I have done. The pale blue is not too bad, the copper has a rough finish and has no shine, and it does not look like a shell,it has a very amateurish look. Is there any other colour beside copper that I can use?. I used clear lacquer and it does not impress. Can I polish it? I am using Tamiya Acrylic paint.

You need one of the metalic range of paint, tamiya doesn't cut it.

Ak exteme metal range of paints seem to be popular at the moment. Mr hobby has a metal buffable range of paint which varies the shine
