Well that was shocking

Post by MarkVerploeg »

So i decided to join scalemates today
Not for the community there but the stashmanager mostly
I thought it would be fun to see wich kits i have and in some cases the after market i have for them
I have a estimate number in my head for the amount of kits i have (should be around 70 kits i guess)
I have 54 kits on scalemates so far and now i realize i don't even remeber all the kits i have
Some piles are in plain sight and i can't even remeber what is those piles :eeek: (and i am not even that old so my brain should still be good  )
I guess i need to sit next to my stash to figure out wich ones i missed
But if you are on scalemates aswell feel free to add me there

I've been thinking of creating a Scalemates account aswell for the same reason you just mentioned. Luckily I'm only just returning to the hobby and my kit isn't a 10th the size I had when I was a kid starting out in the hobby.

As always happy modeling and keep sticking styrene.

I have stopped counting and seem to just continue buying....fools paradise
It really sucks if you re-purchase something you already have, so keeping track in Scalemates is a great idea

I think I signed up and added like two kits before nap time for kiddos was over. I should really get on that before, as Twokids mentioned, I buy something I already have. ><

The amount was actually shocking to me
20 kits more then what i thought i had
And this has been the year where i build faster then normal
I even bought less kits then i build
But i didn't add things like figure sets and diorama stuff
Only the real vehicle or plane kits

I have a pretty good sense of the kits i have
I do own a few doubles like the Dragon Tiger 1 late with zimmerit but i already build 2 of them and after i build the second it took me a year to get the third
But those where intentionally bought
The only double kit in the stash right now is a kubeleagen and i did that because they are easy to put on a diorama as a little filler for a empty area
The same goes for jeeps but i ran out of those

I love organization of kits, but find the website less than intuitive to use
Alphabetical order in the search options would be helpful
Sorry if I haven't added anyone as a mate...just can't figure it out :

Yea not the easiest thing to figure out. You have to go to their page and just under name is actions tab click on this and it expands to add friends follow etc.

you have to click on the icon of the person you want to be matey with. You will be on their wall then go to the top . Should come up like a kit click on the Action menu then send a request to be friends.
