Back into modelling after 25+ years

Probably a familiar story. Grew up with a ceiling full of Airfix planes, HO model trains and the like.

Work, family - now I get asked by the kid to build a kit.

First up was a Revell Saturn V/Apollo - that's needing painting now.
Currently taking time is the 1:72 Airfix Dambusters Lancaster BIII.

Fascinating what has changed (quality seems much better!) and what stayed the same. 25 years ago it was all Humbrol enamels. Now I'm sucked into the world of airbrushing and acrylic. Oh man.
