The others .... uuuh well
I still have to build 2 repaint 1 and make some touch ups on the last one but that one is in the weathering stages
I scratched the paint by accident with the metal part of the brush when i was working on the wash
But it will be okay after a few little drops of paint

Thank you very much Coen
And yes but much later
First i will finish all the Tigers on the bench
Yhen i will do a kind evolution of the Tiger 1 build
I will put a initial , early , mid and late production next to eachother all with their own small vignette like dio to place them somewhere that their unit was active
That way you can compare them and see the changes the Germans made to this tank during the production serie
Well that is the idea anyway
And i will try to make a simple how to on diorama's for those who want to try them but never made them before
Not that i am a great dio builder but i will try to give some tips and ideas on my methods and materials
But again i will do this once the kitties are finished

Thank you very much Steve
I am working on my chipping and dcratching though
I find that i overdo it some times or that it is in just 1 color
But i think i made some progress and i only really did the side skirts on this one there is much less chipping on the hull and top
I concentrated it around hatches and parts where the crew would be more often
I don't think they would ve walking on the sloped parts that much as there is a good chance they fall

Hi Mark

another great tiger.

a few questions if you dont mind

was this the dragon kit 6700 with modifications ?
is the mantlet a tiger p ?
what paint are you using water based or enamel ?
did you use a wash on the zimmerit ?
for the numbering did you use stencils or decals?

All the best,
richard

Thanks again Richard
It is the Cyber hobby kit actually
That is a Mid production Tiger with molded on zimmerit
It has a few features that made this one special
There is a Tiger P mantlet and it has the intial mirrored tracks

The paints i use are either Tamiya acrylics or Aqueous
I didn't do a complete wash of the tank but just a pinwash as far as i can remember
I did do some streaking effects and that will settle in the ridges of the zinmerit aswell but not as heavy as a normal wash would
The numbers and markings came from the decalsheet
I am planning on getting some spray stencils for various German tanks and units but i order my stuff in Germany so it is basicly inpossible to get SS unit stuff there as it is illegal there
So i need to find another source for that but i'm not looking that hard either

I hope this awnsers all you questions

Thanks Mark

That kit is extremely rare.you did a great job with it.

I have dragon kit 6383 the late with zimmerit - so looking forward to giving that a go.

Just finished today a vorpanzer - redid the weathering over the weekend ,it was originally too strong and refitted the tracks to get the correct sag which was wrong - a real pain as they are DS.Funny how I notice these things better once I have looked at the photos and have posted them - oh well!!

Mark - if you have not done so - can I recommend building a Vorpanzer as its really interesting making all the modifications and installing the workable front shield and it's kind of a departure from the normal gun tank with all the tools etc.

Anyway Good luck with your next project - I really enjoy your work - looking forward to seeing another top model soon.

ps RyeFIeld are releasing a BergTiger if you are interested.Dont know release date or cost.

All the best,
Richard

I haven't made one of those yet but i haven't heared about them either
The next Tiger i am going to build will probably be the Wittmann early prod
The one that wasn't Wittmann's tank but from his commander during the famous photo shoot
I have a fully upgraded DAK Tiger aswell but i'm not really on the mood for all that PE at the moment

I did see some reports about the Rye field kits but i am looking for the regular tanks and not the modified ones
Allthough i do have a Sturmtiger somewhere

One of the bunch actually
I currently have 8 finished Tigers but this is the only Cyber hobby white box of the lot
They usually go for silly amounts of money but i got this from a older modeller who said his eyes wheren't up to it anymore
He did removed all the bags and a lot of the knock out tabs but showed all the parts and checked if it was still complete
And i got it very cheap
Other wise i wouldn't have bought it at all
