Nakajima K184IA 1/48 Tamita my first NMF plane

Post by TheTroyster »

I really want to learn how to build decent planes, and I really think the Natural Metal Finish looks sharp. I got this kit, super cheep, so I could practice both plane and NMF plane building.

Lovely job. There's a NMF Sig starting April 1st if you're interested.
Regards, Dave.

The upcoming SIG is why I did this - practice. Next time I won't use aluminum color paint but a natural steel or oily steel- I'm still uncertain of the finish - is it best to use gloss (like here), or satin finish, or flat/Matt finish? Ah yes the mystery of building aircrafts - so much to learn, so little time...
