PE difficulties

I'm having real problems trying to apply PE handles, I just can't pick them up and place them properly . I've tried every type of tweezers I've got, pick up pencil no luck the handles are just too small, when using tweezers they rotate or ping off these are what I'm talking about No 35.


Any advice gladly received.

Hi thanks for that, I'm not sure I understand what your suggesting. If I use CA to hold the handle on the cocktail stick so I can place it, wont it stick to it making it impossible to remove once applied to the model without damaging or deforming it?

If you use slow CA, you won't have such problem.

What the other chap said mate, the idea is using it and having some temporary adhesive at the tip. Slow drying cyano on the tip and fast drying on the actual PE that you are fixing it to

Use a small piece of blue/white tack as a handle, apply CA to PE part, and kicker to where it going to be attached, place perfectly and it will bond instant. I have also used tiny pieces of tamiya tape to make tiny handles also, just cut them away later.

I use a small piece of putty on the end of a toothpick, I pick up the piece I want to glue on, apply glue and attach it to the model.Hope this helps.
