PE Engine Grills

Post by spock1701 »

I just ordered the Tamiya Panther A kit, which I know is a little lacking in detail. I want to add some extra stuff to it. Tamiya makes PE grill sets for some of its Panther kits at a very reasonable price, but I can't find a set for this one. Would the Panther Ausf. D set fit the Panther A? Or do I need to find another website with better selection?

By Jove, I think it would. I'll be getting some other kits too, so perhaps I'll hold off on the Panther until my cash reserves fill up enough to purchase a full PE set.

Although I do think that if I am going full, I'll get it from ebay. Cheaper.

Royal Model's website doesn't specify a kit or manufacturer for set 611. The PDF of the instructions doesn't either. One would hope the level of accuracy of both kit and PE set would be good enough to get the job done.

But you never know....

EDIT - Scalemates indicates the grills fit 4 of Dragon's Panther releases - no mention of Tamiya
