Well it's finally happened

Just back from hospital having sliced off the top of my thumb - but at least it was a brand new blade!!

Thing is I'm needle and blood phobic so passed out twice - I've had better weekends!!

It's not scalpels that get me it's those damn salad slicer things; the one's that you run a tomato or suchlike up and down at great speed over a blade. I refuse to go near the thing now, they are just as deadly when you wash them up. Mrs Avgas is just slicing away with one now.

I think ya jinxed me.
I was drilling through some mdf drawers I made to attach drawer pull come label holders. Placed finger where drill was to come through and DID a bloody STUPID thing and drilled through the centre of my finger. 57yrs and I can finally cross that of my bucket list...
Yeah..it hurt.....

Glad your OK, every time I change a blade I always cut myself ,get no sympathy from the wife emergency pack of plasters on the bench now

Yeah I'm one of those types who cleans the wound with Tamiya thinner and sticks it together with super glue. Make some butterfly strips from masking tape and your good to go. No way am I sitting in A&E for 4 hours unless I hit an artery! It's not that I am "The Revenant" tough, just that I really feckin hate hospitals after spending two months in one after a motorcycle accident
