Spare tracks for to put on the body bas the main tracks are vynal along with a metal tow rope.



The decals with a little PE and some mesh.



Clear parts



And finally a metal barrel for th main gun and possibly a machine gun.



A very nice kit with plenty of detail
Looking forward to building this one.

Time to make a start

Workable suspension































When it came to cutting the handles off the sprue they were just snapping in 2 so i decided to use some copper wire that i had









































So far a really good build and fit

There are two choices of mantle a smooth one and a lightly textured one i have gone for the latter











The grenade launchers i drilled out the ends









The framework for the back









A piece of PE added and then attached to the back





Then some netting cut to size and shape then added









To finish off today adding a few bits to the capola and the machine gun barrels one in plastic and the other in metal

Hey Gaz this is coming along very nicely mate, I'll be following this.

As you know I recieved this in the post the other day but I'm a bit peed off mine didn't come with a metal tow rope!

Anyway, before I bought it I made sure I had all the paints that I might need. I had most but had to buy a couple. Now am I going blind? This is my first kit from AFV Club and nowhere in the instructions can I find some of the colours that are called out, for example where would you use 'Bright Blue'? Are they hidden in the instructions or just there to be used if you want. I can imagine that with the black and white but the Bright Blue is a bit specific and I can't find it anywhere.

And just one general question, the kit comes with rubber tyres, are you going to paint them or just beat them up a bit?

Anyway, keep up the good work, I can't wait to see how this turns progresses.

I'm not going to paint the tyres
I have the same problem finding where to use the bright blue the only thing i could find is that the clear parts on the capola ring and the periscopes are blue on the box art

Just as an aside bit of trivia. My friend was crew in one of these during his national service training. I remember him saying that the driver had to have the strongest legs cause the clutch pedal needed 70lbs to be depressed and he is also deaf as a post now without his government supplied hearing aids.

I know nothing about driving a tank but would he only use one leg for the clutch? I'm imagining one huge leg against the other normal leg

No problem about late, I'm a while off starting this yet and after thinking about it you're right about not painting the tyres. This does look like a nice kit and you're definitely doing it justice.

he wasn't the driver, having a weak knee.
Only the big boys drove.

Time to add the metal barrel which is a first for me











The search light added







and making up and attaching the metal tow cables another first for me

















It was then primed with Ultimate black primer and painted up with Mr hobby olive drab





All thats left to do now is some detail painting the decals ( all 3 of them lol) and the tracks.

Nice work on this tank. Not often you see a model of the Centurion. This makes me want to watch the documentary about the Battle of the Golan Heights.
