Eduard Dual Combo 1/72 Mig 15bis

Finally got time to sit down and get some modeling done, have already built 1 of these lovely little Mig 15's by Eduard, built as a Cuban operated aircraft. This boxing attracted me due to the artwork on the side showing a chequer effect Czech aircraft used in 1957 as a anti aircraft gunnery target practice machine.
Assembly straight forward following usual build sequence of cockpit tub intakes fuselage halves go together ect
Used Gunze H308 on the interior and landing gear bays and wells, primed all over with Alclad black micro primer, then polished, then sprayed H308 Gloss Blue all over,when dry the chequers masked off using Tamiya tape cut into 10mmx10mm squares and some 10mmx5mm to create the check pattern. The silver is AK interactive aluminium, sprayed all over, then removed the tape and pleased to say it worked really well.
Scratch built from Evergreen rod a crew access ladder and a F.O.D cover from styrene sheet,pilot figure is from CMK.
