AK Interactive Acrylic paint and Vallejo???

I just viewed a you tube video made by AK INTERACTIVE PAINT, and it was introduced by FERNANDO VALLEJO. Is AK interactive paint associated in any
form with VALLEJO PAINTS?

I ask because AK seems to have a series of acrylic paint kits aimed specifically at particular air forces in specific points in time, RAF colors in WWII.

It does seem to save looking up color charts for paint matches to aircraft from a particular air force at a specific point in time.

Would appreciate comments if there is an affiliation between Vallejo and AK Interactive, and what you think of their acrylic paints.

PS AK also has numerous weathering paints, but they seem to be ENAMEL BASE, and I do not think they would paint well over acrylic paint.
Would you agree?

As AK interactive and Acrylicos Vallejo are Spanish based companies and their respective products suffer from the same "flauws" . It wouldn't surprise me if they are in fact the same paint under a different label.

I know that more manufacturers are bringing out paint sets for specific era and type of subject matter. These sets are however not always the best colormatch to the real thing. For example the Hataka sets are not even close and look awkward once dried. For this reason alone I wouldn't recommend them.

As to your question about using enamels over an acrylic base. I also use acrylics as my preferred paint on my builds. However I also use oils, pastels and enamels over them during my weathering stages of the build. I haven't experienced any problems with the paints interacting and causing mayor headaches caused by this.

No they are totally different people, i was told vallejo is a very popular spanish name

Thank you both. The problem is see with AK is that the paints in their paint sets do not seem to be sold separately. Therefore if I
purchased the RAF or Luftwaffe set, and ran out of one color I would be forced to purchase the entire set with eight or so paints.
Do you agree this could be a serious problem when purchasing AK acrylic paint sets? Outside of the paint sets, the acrylic paint
selection seem very narrow, not much to choose from.

Vallejo is a very common name in Spain. They are different people, different companies and different paints!
