"Like / Thanks" Button

Post by WMH »

I just completed a search and did not find this Suggestion/question listed.

On other forums I am on they use a "Like / Thanks" Button. which allows readers the option to click to say they appreciated a post without just making a post Thanks. By pressing a thanks/like button or receiving either instead of a post count the Avatar gets A Thanked/liked or Thanks/Likes count. It also allows members who don't have anything to say to at least acknowledge the OP's Post.

Yeah we've covered this before and while a good idea, it'll just reduce the amount of actual posts on the forum and turn it into facebook.

I agree. Much better to say what you like and why you like it. It helps the modeller no end. It also builds links between members as people get to know each other beyond just commenting on a kit. It takes time to post a proper comment - and rightly so :th:
Its been tried and tested, it works! So don't blame the system if you're no good.

You are close enough to being Canadian...we are planning on allowing Seattle to be part of BC after Trump wins
Deviating off topic is the whole point of not having a "like" button

Honestly I'm keen on that. If you've ever watched any Washington politics you'd know that most of the rest of the state might be glad to be rid of Seattle ;)

If Trump wins you'll be killed in the stampede! Mind you, talk about the lesser of two evils - LOL

How about adding a feature that allows someone to "like" a post which then adds it to the users favorites list.
However, It would not show how many likes a post has received.
