Woohoo, finally got some space cleared on the bench to make a start on this, my first ship, let us start with some box and sprue shots, cocktail stick included in some for a sense of scale.

The rest of the sprues, pe, decals etc and a shot of the real thing which i aim to try to replicate, with some artistic licence of course!

Not the most auspicious of starts, found a sizable short shot at the back of the lower hull, hmm, how to fix it? First of all dry fit other parts to see how much wiggle room i have and then stick some thin sheet styrene behind it to block the hole up in preparation for some filler.
