Dragon Panther F.

Hello all

After a long two year search I have finally had the chance to get the Dragon Panther F. kit 6403. Now it is time for me to finally build it. With me now recovered from my oral surgery ( that's important or else I would get a little too grumpy while building the kit if their are complications) I have half ( other half goes to my job ) of my summer to work on my idea for this bad kitty. So lets get started on my progress.



Day 1:


Completed two piece wheels along with idlers and sprockets


Ventilation system is completed with second option fans


Torsion Bars put into place along with the photoetched lower glacis piece.


Ventilation system is installed into the lower hull. You can also see the working torsion bar system in the hull (will need that for my dio ). Also on the left you can see the inner and outer roadwheels.


Rear Panel is completely assembled along with it's two storage bins. (still need to fill in some holes with putty but will do that on day 2)

That's it so far hopefully will have most done on next post as I don't have to work tomorrow

(P.S.: sorry for any mistakes in spelling or anything, it's currently 2 a.m. so I'm kind dozing off )

Thanks, The exhaust came with the kit and is the one you see on Late Panther G variants seems to be a style of vent or fan.

Thanks Creator, Love the Panther F in how unique it is compared to the average Panther variants. I know exactly what you mean about the prices on the Panther F. I had been searching for this kit for 2 or more years and right when I saw my local hobby shop have it at a decent price I immediately had them put it on hold for me. Scalehobbyist just recently got this kit for a reasonable price, but don't give up yet, its worth it.

That is one nice kit, it's loaded with stuff (two upper hulls, two full set of wheels etc etc). I got two of those, both boxes cannibalized for parts and still enough stuff to make one whole tank

This kit does include a lot of items, enough to enhance any Tamiya panther I may get. Still is a great kit with a very nice weapons sprue that appears to be gen. 2 don't quote me on that.

It has been a while but here is my update on the Panther. I have been having trouble with uploading photos from my camera to my computer but was fixed today. Enough excuses, here it is.

My idea for this kit is to be a representation of the Sennelager training ground where the Panther F. could be tested and I want to have it where it is rolling out of the training area to the near by battle ground. I will be adding a railroad track to my diorama to show the workable suspension but still unsure of whether or not to get workable tracks. I will also be adding an officer that will be discussing with the radio operator for directions to the front and where the enemy is. The dio will also have a kubelwagen with driver where the officer came with.

Here you can see the two photoetched pieces that support the two front crewmans hatches.


Here you can see the Engine deck along with the engine grills. You can also see the complete upper hull being finished without hatches so they can be painted separately. I still have a lot of tool holes to fill with putty but will be filled, trust me

It has been a while sincei had an update so here we go.

I have put on the main coat of green for the upper hull and a different color coat for the turret to make it looks new compared to the hull. I also began chipping on the deck of the upper hull

I know the paint brush marks can be seen I tried to thin it out but it still can be seen.
