1001 Model Kits - Customer Service Disaster

Post by Warren »

Gentlemen,

I had the misfortune to have placed an order via the internet with 1001 MODEL KITS. I live in the USA, and it appears that they ship from France,
which is not mentioned on their web site. They do have a warehouse for returns in Arkansas, USA.
When you telephone them, you receive a recorded message, which is bad enough, but to add insult to injury the message is in French!
I did a Google search of this company and noted it is based in Paris, France and the complaints about non shipment, damaged shipments etc.,
are numerous.

I am posting this message wondering if anyone in the ISM group has dealt with this company. My experience suggests to you to stay away from doing business with this company.

Warren, you are not the only one. I ordered few items from them last year and I will never order from them again. So, to all here...stay away from this outfit.

Gentlemen,
An update on my situation. Order still not received, and as usual unable to speak with anyone or receive reply to my e-mails.

To further illustrate the duplicity of this company, a return address is listed in the USA in Centerton, Arizona. A Google search of the address
given reflects that it is a private residence, not a company warehouse. I managed to obtain the telephone number, and the woman answering the telephone denied any knowledge of 1001 Model Kits, or the name listed at this site by 1001 Model kits. She even denied she was answering a telephone in Arizona. A further search of this name indicates that the individual was adjudicated bankrupt, in Arizona, USA on November 30, 2015.

Sounds like a great company to be doing business with!

I will challenge payment of the Visa charge on the grounds of non performance by 1001 Model Kits due to non delivery.

Thank God that only US$14.98 is involved. An amount I know I will never see again.

To my great surprise, I received my order on July 18. The package was postmarked July 12, and was not mailed on July 6, as claimed by the vendor.
I placed my original order on June 29. This vendor has a mess on his hands, and cannot effectively communicate with customers.
Place an order with this vendor at your own risk.
