Red Roo

Post by digger303 »

Hi,
Does anyone here in Aust have any experience with Red Roo model glue...claims it can replace Ca glue and has a stronger more flexible bond than Ca.

Thanks.

Roo-Grip is an advanced acrylic glue. It's similar to Gator Grip which you may have purchased from us before and is no longer available.
It's designed for use when attaching PE, vacuformed canopies, resin etc to plastic parts. It's not recommended for polystyrene-polystyrene joints. It sets hard in 6-24 hours depending on conditions. It's not volatile at all. Strength depends on what you are gluing. Once set if can be easily painted. It's a new product. It's completely different to CA glue.
If you liked the properties of Gator Grip or Krystal Kleer, you will be fine with Roo-Grip.
