Airbrushing Mr hobby aqueous rough sand help

Anyone had experience with this? I used it with Ultimate thinner and it completely gummed up my evolution, have had to take it completely apart and now the 0.4 needle doesn't move properly argh

Strange, I use an Evolution and mr hobby, you say the needle doesn't move...I take it you can remove the needle for cleaning?.

If so, I find that thinners poured from either the front of the main body, (taking all the insides out) or again pour thinners down the main body from where, I use a pipe cleaner to get in all the nooks and crannies (make sure you clean the thinners away from the body using Ultimate after cleaning)...this normally for me, gives you a clean working gun....

There is also loads online regarding cleaning of Airbrushes....Think there is one on here as well Paul did a while ago.

I don't have that particular paint, but like gazmat says most issues can be fixed by a thorough cleaning of the AB, after that look at damaged seals and cracked nozzles.
I doubt it is the Ultimate causing the issue as 346 is a water based product similar to Tamiya paints and Ultimate is fine with those.

I think it's the needle seal just prior to the paint cup, will soak it in thinner overnight and try again

Maybe soaking over night would be too much for it... a couple of hours at most, I never give mine more than 5 minutes, usually any problems have been eradicated by then...Especially if your using Mr Hobby.

Needle still getting stuck, comes back fine but doesn't return when trigger released - checked nut, lubricated needle, cleaned parts I could get to, feels,like it holds up as it's passing through the seal just before the cup but no longer finding any paint residue on the needle when I pass it through. The Spring is in place as well and appears to be working...grrrrrr might have to try a gentle bristle clean

sounds like its time to invest in a cheap Ultra sonic Cleaner and some Good de-greaser like Super Green or Super Clean !
let the nozzle soak and front body assembly (no air valve please)

next time try mixing your paints externally in a small cup first and see if the mixture either mix or coagulates first !

Run some methylated spirits through it first. See how that goes before you do anything harsh!
