Hello :)

Post by cptgandy »

Been lurking in the shadows for ages now and thought it was time to say hello to everyone :)

My name is Paul ( yep another one as there is a few on here ) and i live on the south coast of the UK, Ive been modling for over a year now after a very long break and im still learning but almost every aircraft i build goes wrong so i tend to stick to armor builds, I enjoy building coldwar armor and when i get better at building aircraft i hope to build stuff from the same era :) Whn i use to build and paint models it was all hand painted back in the 80's so using an airbrush is pretty nice for a good finsih.

My current projects are, Takom Type 69-11 which i am about half way through building, An Eduard Spitfire Mk9c which i need to do a little more painting before i put the decals on, An Acadmey M2A2 which i got for just under £10 on Ebay which needs painting ( it has been primed with Ultimate Primer ) and i hope to enter the I Love Tamiya group build with the Tamiya 1/48 scale Mosquito :) i do have a couple more builds that are on hold due to not having the stuff to finish them.

I use a mixture of tools but i spray with a H&S Evo Crplus and a H&S Ultra for base coats with a Sparmax TC610-H compressor to power them with and a small amount of AK, Mig, Vallejo and Tamiya paints and weathering stuff as i tend to order when i have the spare money which can slow down some builds if i forget something which would be normal for me. I have put all my spraying on hold atm due to the hot weather as i know my airbrush will suffer from dry tip and i have some winsor and newton slow drying meduim on order which i hope will stop that happening :)

I hope to share plenty of my future builds with the forum as the fourm has quite a relaxed and freindly attitude to its members which is pretty nice as i know some forums can be a little on the toxic side of things ( like the World of Warships fourm ).
