Banzai! a.k.a. learning to paint figures more good (maybe)

Post by PrivatePublic »

The build thread http://intscalemodeller.com/viewtopic.php?f=491&t=19090

This whole thing was pretty much an excuse to enter something and practice my figure painting skills. The figures are the Master Box Japanese Imperial Marines (the Special Naval Landing Force) on Tarawa depicted mid charge. The figures themselves go together nicely and have really interesting poses which gave me some unusual angles to work with and while they're still not great they've definitely helped me improve

It's a bit overcast today so my makeshift photo booth doesn't have great lighting. If I get a nicer day soon I may put up some nicer photos.

Cheers :th:

Lighting or no, they look pretty good, man. I've yet to do figures, but they look tricky to do right...and I think these look done right :th:

Edit to add: The base is fantastic!
