Revell 1/72 S-100 German Schnellboat

Post by Jan01 »

This is what I'm going to build for this SIG, wih some PE parts
This is a model that I've wanted to build for a very long time. I managed to pick this up a couple of months ago while in Overloon (War Museum in The Netherlands).

Whats in the box.
All the sprues come in a single bag. There are 5 sprues in total, a decal sheet string and the instructions.
There are no figures in this kit, so depending how far I get, I will look for some on the internet.
All the sprues are crisp and clean with no flash.

Started on the deck first, plenty of cutting and sanding. 5 hatches where the hinges and handles had to be removed and 38 parts where the railings go.

Progress with the hull and deck, it fitted together really well just a few very small gaps between the joins that I filled and sanded down.

Started on the bridge section of the boat. Plenty of cutting and sanding so that I can use the PE.

This is before I got the knife and sanding sticks to it.

After I got the knife and sanding sticks, and filled the small hole with putty.

The PE that I have to glue just to this small section.

All put together except for a couple of handles.

Still more work to do on the bridge with more PE, but this on the outside.

How is your build progressing? We have less than 24 days, so I look forward to an update on this one!
